Former Ten news presenter Jennifer Hansen is enjoying the freedom of life away from the newsdesk. Hansen is about to try her hand at acting, having been cast in a pivotal role in the stage production Chasing Pegasus.

The production will be staged at the Gasworks Theatre in Albert Park as part of the Melbourne Fringe Festival in October.

"It is nice to be going outside my comfort zone," Hansen said.

Hansen does not have far to go should she need a little acting advice. She is married to Alan Fletcher who plays Dr Karl on Neighbours.
